Homework 3 - Online Tutorial

Online tutorials are great resources to have, especially if we want to update our skills or just getting fresh ideas for upcoming projects. There are many tutorial sites on internet, but I came across to one site ( Abduzeedo) which I think has many good tutorials. Two of them I picked up for this project.

1. Creating beautiful swirl


In this tutorial, originally, we create swirls in illustrator and adjust it in photoshop. But, personally I like to experiment in photoshop itself to see how it can create the same swirl. I was quite satisfied with the result and maybe i can incorporate the ornament elements into my web pages.




2. Water Color Brushes


In this tutorial, it uses watercolor brush to achieve the brush painting effect. With watercolor brushes, it can simulate the stroke just like in the painting. We can also experiment with different images or different brushes to get other interesting results.
